Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision and curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive sales while contributing to a welcoming store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits across channels.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep areas clean/safe.
- Recognize associates for training sales contributions and assist other departments as needed.
- Handle sick/injured pets immediately, recommend merchandise/services, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible scheduling required.
