Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences using our proven curriculum. You'll engage pet parents, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success. This dynamic role combines animal care, education, customer service, and sales in a fun, pet-filled retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training classes over phone, in-person, or online while prioritizing pet parent satisfaction.
• Actively promote and sell training programs, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
• Handle sick/injured pets promptly, including vet transport if needed.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
