Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services, engages pet parents, and drives positive outcomes. You'll uphold our vision by educating on training benefits, selling classes across channels, and ensuring safe, clean environments. This dynamic role combines pet expertise, customer service, and sales in a fun retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions via phone, in-person, or online while managing pet parent experiences and concerns.
• Actively promote and sell training classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and store areas for safety and presentation.
• Recognize team contributions, assist other departments, and handle pet emergencies like vet transport.
• Recommend merchandise/services and participate in our culture of recognition.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays required. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
