Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Los Lunas, New Mexico, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a fast-paced store setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pet training services via phone, in-person, or online, managing parent experiences and outcomes.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, clean training areas, and create safe environments.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
• Recognize team contributions and follow all company policies.

Experience & Skills

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience
• PetSmart Training Instructor Course accreditation
• Computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays

Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure.
