Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences using our proven curriculum. You'll engage pet parents, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to a welcoming store environment. This role combines animal expertise, customer service, and sales in a dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions over phone, in-person, or online while managing pet parent expectations.
• Actively promote and sell training programs to drive enrollment.
• Maintain accurate records, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Handle emergencies like sick pets, recommend services, and assist other departments.
• Educate associates as the pet training expert and foster a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
