Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll actively promote and sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Create safe, clean environments for classes and handle sick/injured pets, including vet transport if needed.
• Recognize associates, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), standing, stooping, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
