Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Manchester store, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering positive reinforcement training per PetSmart's proven curriculum. This role blends education, sales, and hands-on pet care in a dynamic retail environment, ensuring safe, fun classes while driving training program success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell group/private classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training area.
• Serve as training expert for store associates, recognizing sales contributions.
• Handle emergencies like sick pets, recommend services/merchandise, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
