Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Mandeville, Louisiana, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Educate on training benefits, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Sales
Conduct classes per curriculum, sell training in-store/phone/online, and educate on program benefits. Schedule sessions and maintain all related paperwork.
Pet Parent Experience
Handle inquiries, resolve concerns via phone/in-person/online, and create safe class environments. Recognize associates for training sales contributions.
Store Support
Keep training areas clean, assist sick/injured pets (transport to vet if needed), recommend merchandise/services, and support other departments as required.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, composure under pressure, and schedule flexibility essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure.
