Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer engages pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with our vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and excellence in every interaction. This dynamic role combines education, sales, and hands-on pet care in a vibrant retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Recognize associates for training sales contributions and assist other departments.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Must thrive under pressure, stay organized, and flex for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise setting.
