Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Maplewood location, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and education. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to flex evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits across channels.
• Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend services, and assist other departments.
• Recognize associates and embody company policies.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate noise/wet environments.
