Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to a culture of belonging.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
• Actively promote and sell pet training classes and related services.
• Deliver training per curriculum, schedule classes, and maintain all documentation.
• Ensure safety in training areas, respond to pet health issues, and assist other departments.
• Educate associates as training expert and recognize sales contributions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
