Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers exceptional training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. Based in Mechanicsburg, PA, you'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, positive outcomes for pets and people while upholding company values.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pet training services and manage pet parent interactions across channels
- Actively sell classes and educate on curriculum benefits
- Maintain paperwork, schedules, and a clean/safe training environment
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments
- Serve as training expert, recognize associates, and follow all policies
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible scheduling required.
