Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Medicine Hat location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell training services while ensuring safety and satisfaction. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to flex their skills in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas and respond to sick/injured pets.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift over 100 lbs), handle pets in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure.

Experience & Skills

• 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience.
• PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation required.
• Strong communication, organization, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays.
