Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Mehlville, Missouri, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines.
- Create safe environments, keep areas clean, and handle sick/injured pets decisively.
- Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Organizational skills and composure under pressure essential.
