Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Miami, Florida, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering positive reinforcement training via PetSmart's proven curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive sales while fostering exceptional experiences. This role suits animal enthusiasts with retail savvy, offering flexibility and fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
- Proactively sell classes, educate on curriculum benefits, and recommend merchandise/services.
- Maintain clean, safe training areas; handle sick/injured pets promptly, including vet transport if needed.
- Manage scheduling, paperwork, and act as training expert for store associates.
- Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Excel with computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends/holidays), and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
