Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Accredited in our Training Instructor Course, you'll engage customers across phone, in-person, and online channels while maintaining safety and sales excellence in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead training classes, ensuring safe environments and positive outcomes for pets and parents.
- Actively sell classes and merchandise, educating on curriculum benefits.
- Handle pet parent interactions, concerns, and paperwork with precision.
- Maintain clean training areas and respond to pet health issues promptly.
- Collaborate with store team as subject matter expert and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Must excel in communication, organization, composure under pressure, and lifting up to 50lbs in a pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
