Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales while upholding our vision. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun classes that build pet-parent bonds and boost loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Actively sell classes, recommend merchandise, and educate on full training benefits.
• Maintain records, schedules, and clean environments; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
• Collaborate with store team as training expert, recognizing contributions to sales.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and foster a safe, inclusive space.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Thrive under pressure with organizational skills, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs amid pets, noise, and active environments. Depth perception and composure are key.
