Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll actively promote and sell classes, educate on curriculum benefits, and ensure safe, clean training environments in our Minneapolis, MN store.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and related merchandise/services across channels.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedules per company guidelines.
• Create safe class environments; handle sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
• Educate store associates as pet training expert and recognize sales contributions.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and uphold our culture of recognition.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, and exposure to pets/noise.
