Role Overview

PetSmart’s Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, upholds company values, and drives pet parent engagement. You'll educate on our proven curriculum, sell classes across channels, and ensure safe, clean environments. This dynamic role blends pet expertise, customer service, and sales in a fun retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pet training classes, managing pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively sell and schedule classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and store cleanliness/safety standards.
• Serve as training expert for associates, recognizing contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
• Follow policies and foster a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Strong communication, organization, and flexibility for evenings/weekends are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
