Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Mobile, Alabama, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Educate on training benefits, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments. This role demands energy, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Sales
Conduct classes per curriculum, sell training in-store/phone/online, and educate on program benefits. Schedule sessions and maintain all related paperwork.
Pet Parent Experience
Handle inquiries, concerns, and outcomes via phone, in-person, or online. Recognize and address sick/injured pets, transporting to vets as needed.
Store Support
Maintain clean training areas, train associates as SME, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, pressure composure, schedule flexibility, organization, and communication skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, pet handling in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
