Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Mobile, AL, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering positive reinforcement-based training per PetSmart's proven curriculum. This role combines education, sales, and hands-on animal care in a dynamic retail environment, ensuring safe, fun classes that build lasting pet-parent bonds.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training classes, managing pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively sell classes and educate on curriculum benefits; recommend merchandise.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and paperwork; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
• Train store associates as subject matter expert and recognize sales contributions.
• Flexibly assist other departments while upholding company policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Thrive under pressure with organizational skills, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs amid pets and moderate noise.
