Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Accredited in our Training Instructor Course, you'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun classes that drive loyalty and sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell classes across channels while educating on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
• Handle sick/injured pets promptly, recommend services/merchandise, and assist other departments.
• Serve as training expert, recognizing associates and fostering a culture of recognition.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training accreditation, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Strong communication, organization, and flexibility for evenings/weekends are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
