Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Based in Monaca, Pennsylvania, this role involves hands-on training, sales, and ensuring safe, clean environments for pets and people.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, or online to sell and deliver training classes.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and store areas.
- Act as subject matter expert, educating associates and recognizing contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Follow company policies while fostering a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
