Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, and values. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas; handle sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and participate in our culture of Belonging.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
