Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Monticello, Minnesota, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Educate on training benefits, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments. This role combines pet passion with customer service and sales in a dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels.
• Maintain all training-related paperwork and store cleanliness.
• Educate associates as the local pet training expert.
• Ensure safety for people and pets; handle sick/injured animals decisively.
• Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Must handle pressure, organize effectively, and flex for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise environment.
