Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer, you'll engage pet parents and their companions, delivering positive reinforcement-based training per PetSmart's proven curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and drive sales while fostering a welcoming store atmosphere. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to educate and inspire.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training sessions over phone, in-person, or online, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction.
• Proactively sell classes and merchandise, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain records, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Handle emergencies like sick pets, collaborate across departments, and recognize team contributions.
• Uphold company policies and participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
