Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers exceptional training experiences, engaging pet parents and pets while upholding company values. Actively promote and sell classes, ensure safety, and educate on our proven curriculum. This dynamic role combines pet expertise, customer service, and sales in a fun retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide positive pet training sessions over phone, in-person, or online, resolving parent concerns.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels.
• Maintain all training paperwork and store pet training areas clean/safe.
• Educate associates as subject matter expert and recognize sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow policies.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure.
