Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean training spaces. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to thrive in a dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes following PetSmart curriculum while prioritizing pet parent satisfaction.
• Actively promote and sell training programs across channels.
• Maintain records, schedule sessions, and keep areas clean/safe.
• Handle pet emergencies, recommend products, and cross-train associates.
• Participate in recognition culture and adhere to policies.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Key skills include computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, strong communication, and organization. Physical demands: lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk extensively, handle animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
