Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers exceptional training services, engages pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. This role combines animal expertise, customer interaction, and store leadership to ensure positive outcomes for pets and people alike. Located in Naples, Florida, you'll work in a pet-loving community, handling everything from class scheduling to emergency pet care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively promote and sell training classes across channels while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep training areas safe and clean.
• Serve as the store's pet training expert, recognizing associate contributions and recommending merchandise.
• Respond to sick/injured pets with immediate action, including vet transport, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and accreditation from the PetSmart Training Instructor Course. Proficiency in computer apps, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
