Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in New Braunfels, Texas, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Drive sales of training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean and safe.
• Serve as training expert for store associates and recognize their sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication skills. Must thrive under pressure, stay organized, and flex schedule for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, handling animals, and working in moderate noise/wet environments.
