Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our New Minas store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to empower pets and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas; handle sick/injured pets immediately.
• Educate store associates as pet training expert and recognize sales contributions.
• Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure essential. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays required. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic store environment.
