Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, and values. You'll actively promote and sell our proven curriculum, ensuring safe, fun classes while contributing to store success through education, sales, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep areas clean/safe.
• Serve as training expert for store associates, recognize sales contributions, and assist other departments.
• Handle sick/injured pets immediately, recommend merchandise/services, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, pet handling in moderate-noise/wet environments with animals.
