Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun classes that build pet skills and owner confidence. Key Responsibilities

• Lead group and private training sessions following PetSmart standards.
• Actively promote and sell training packages to boost enrollment.
• Handle pet parent inquiries, concerns, and outcomes professionally.
• Maintain clean, safe training areas and manage all related paperwork/scheduling.
• Recognize team sales efforts and assist other departments as needed.
• Respond to sick/injured pets, recommending services and merchandise.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
