Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services, engages pet parents, and upholds our vision of positive pet experiences. Accredited through our Training Instructor Course, you'll educate on curriculum benefits, sell classes across channels, and ensure safety in a dynamic retail environment with live animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
• Actively promote and sell training classes while maintaining all related paperwork.
• Create safe, clean training environments and handle pet health emergencies, including vet transport.
• Educate store associates as the pet training expert and assist other departments.
• Follow company policies, participate in recognition culture, and recommend merchandise/services.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication skills. Thrive under pressure with organizational detail, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, handle animals, and navigate moderate noise/wet environments.
