Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in North Babylon, New York, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell training classes while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and exceptional service. This role demands energy, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas; handle sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Must handle pressure, stay organized, and flex for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
