Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in North Bay, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Accredited instructors like you educate on our curriculum, sell classes, and ensure safety while making a real impact on pets' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes while promoting curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, cleanliness, and safety in training areas; handle sick/injured pets.
- Educate store associates as training expert and recognize sales contributions.
- Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, and exposure to pets/noise.
