Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. Based in North Charleston, SC, you'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean training spaces. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this dynamic pet retail role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and resolve concerns across channels.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
• Maintain all training paperwork and educate store associates as SME.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness in training areas; handle sick/injured pets promptly.
• Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.

Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, strong communication/organization. Passion for pets and sales acumen preferred.
