Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Northbrook, Illinois, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes, ensure safety, and educate on our proven curriculum. This role offers flexibility and rewards your passion for pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and merchandise across channels.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedules per company standards.
• Create safe, clean environments for classes and store areas.
• Handle sick/injured pets, transport to vet if needed, and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years retail/customer service experience.
• PetSmart Training Instructor Course accreditation.
• Computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays.

Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments. Depth perception required; accommodations available.
