Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Based in Northglenn, this role involves in-person, phone, and online interactions, ensuring safe, engaging classes that drive customer satisfaction and sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage pet parents to sell and schedule training classes across channels.
- Conduct classes using PetSmart curriculum, maintaining safety and cleanliness.
- Handle paperwork, educate store associates, and recognize sales contributions.
- Respond to concerns, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Identify and address sick/injured pets promptly, including vet transport.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a dynamic environment.
