Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Customer Engagement
- Conduct classes per curriculum, educating on benefits.
- Handle inquiries via phone, in-person, online; resolve concerns.
- Sell classes and recommend merchandise/services.
Operations & Safety
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, keep areas clean.
- Ensure safe environment; respond to sick/injured pets.
- Train associates as pet training expert.
Team Support
- Assist other departments; recognize sales contributions.
- Follow policies, participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, strong organization, and communication. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs, standing, animal exposure.
