Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in our Oakville store, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Accredited instructors educate on our curriculum, sell classes, and ensure safety while fostering pet parent success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels.
- Maintain all training paperwork and store training areas.
- Create safe environments, handle sick/injured pets, and assist other departments.
- Educate associates as subject matter expert and recognize sales contributions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
