Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and maintain safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead training sessions following PetSmart curriculum and manage pet parent interactions.
- Actively promote and sell training programs across channels.
- Handle paperwork, scheduling, and area maintenance for optimal safety.
- Respond to pet emergencies, recommend services, and support other departments.
- Educate associates as training expert and recognize contributions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic pet retail setting. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
