Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive reinforcement-based training classes, engages pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions while managing pet parent interactions and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell group/private classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain accurate records, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Handle emergencies like sick pets, recommend services/merchandise, and support other departments.
• Foster a culture of belonging, recognition, and policy adherence.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-facing retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, and top-tier communication/organization. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate-noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure.
