Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Orange, CA, you'll engage pet parents and their furry companions, delivering positive reinforcement-based training per PetSmart's proven curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safe environments, and drive sales while collaborating with store teams. This dynamic role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to flex schedules for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Proactively sell classes, educate on curriculum benefits, and recommend merchandise/services.
• Maintain impeccable training areas, handle paperwork/scheduling, and respond to pet health emergencies.
• Serve as training expert, coaching associates and fostering a culture of recognition.
• Assist other departments, follow policies, and uphold safety/cleanliness standards.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Excel with strong communication, organization, computer skills, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and handle live animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environments. Depth perception and flexibility essential.
