Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive reinforcement-based training classes, engages pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. This dynamic role combines animal expertise, customer service, and sales in a fun retail environment. Ensure safe, clean training spaces and collaborate across departments to uphold our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions while managing pet parent experiences and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell group/private classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and store cleanliness; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
• Serve as training expert for store associates, recognizing sales contributions.
• Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays required.
