Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services, engages pet parents, and drives positive outcomes. You'll uphold our vision by educating on training benefits, selling classes across channels, and ensuring safe, clean environments. This role demands flexibility, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail pet setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions via phone, in-person, or online while managing pet parent experiences and concerns.
• Actively promote and sell training classes, educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and store-area cleanliness/safety.
• Serve as training expert for associates, recognizing sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, animal exposure, and moderate noise.
