Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and excellence in every interaction. This role combines pet passion with customer service in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
- Drive sales of training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend services, and assist other departments.
- Serve as training expert, recognizing associate contributions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, and proficiency in computer apps. Must thrive under pressure, communicate effectively, and handle physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs in a pet-filled environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
