Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Philadelphia, PA, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering expert training services using PetSmart's proven curriculum. This role combines education, sales, and hands-on animal care to foster positive outcomes and uphold our mission of enriching pet lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes proactively and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas safe/clean.
- Act as training expert for store associates; recognize sales contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend products/services, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, strong communication/organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, and working in pet-filled environments with moderate noise.
