Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Philadelphia, PA, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Educate on training benefits, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes across channels.
- Maintain all training paperwork and educate store associates as subject matter expert.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness in training areas; handle sick/injured pets.
- Recommend merchandise/services and assist other departments as needed.
Physical Demands
Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), work in pet hair/wet environments with moderate-high noise and live animals.
Experience & Skills
- 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience.
- PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation required.
- Strong communication, organization, computer proficiency; composure under pressure.
- Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays.
