Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Phoenix, Arizona, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Actively promote and sell our curriculum-based classes while ensuring safety and excellence in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on full curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep areas clean/safe.
- Serve as store training expert, recognizing associate contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise/services, assist other departments, and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, and exposure to pets/noise.
